Flowers’2009
The 16th International Exhibition “Flowers’2009” successfully completed its work. 700 companies from 27 countries took part in the exhibition including 400 Russian companies which represented 28 Russian regions. The exhibition was visited by 40 000 people including 16 000 specialists. 50 business events were organized in the frameworks of the exhibition, among them: Conference on resource saving in modern greenhouse sector, seminars, “round-table” discussions on urgent problems of the sector, presentations, master – classes, competitions, shows, demonstrations. For the first time at the exhibition there was presented a new section of engineering and equipment for greenhouses, gardening and landscape design “Flowers-IPM-Tech-Moscow” organized by joint efforts with our German partner “Messe Essen”, operator of the International Gardening Exhibition IPM. The 6th Russian Championship on professional flower arrangement organized in the frameworks of the exhibition demonstrated modern trends of the world floristics and high level of workmanship of its participants. The inauguration ceremony was visited by: P.P.Biriukov, First Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Moscow Government, O.D. Antosenko, First Deputy Director General of OAO “GAO VVC”, I.Ya Raber, Prefect of the North-Eastern Administrative Okrug of Moscow, N.I. Semenov, Deputy Director of the Department of Housing and Communal Services at the RF Ministry of Regional Development, A.I. Tsybin, Head of the Department of Housing and Communal Services of Moscow, G.A. Zuganov. Leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Mr. Jean de Glinoasti, Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of France in Russia, Mr. Patricio Chavez Zavala, Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of Ecuador in Russia, N.K. International participants were presented by companies from Austria, England, Belgium, Hungary, Byelorussia, Vietnam, Germany, Greece, Holland, Denmark, Israel, India, Spain, Italy, Kenya, Colombia, UAE, Poland, Romania, Serbia, the USA, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, France, Ecuador and Ethiopia.
This year along with national stands of Holland, Colombia, Germany and Ecuador there are also collective stands of Poland and France.
