THE FULL PRESS RELEASE TO (DOWNLOAD) The formation of the display of the major flower project of the year has been completed. The International Exhibition “Flowers” will open its doors on the 3rd of September for the 16th time. Like in previous years it is located on two floors of Pavilion No. 69. Together with outdoor displays its area will make up 36 000 sq.m. Unique in scale the project as usual is the most popular one in flower business of Russia in spite of the world financial crisis. Having gained prestige among professionals the “Flowers” exhibition demonstrates contemporary level and development prospects of not only Russian flower market and related industries but also of the world flower market. The exhibition is held under auspices of the Federal Authorities, Government of Moscow, Chamber of Commerce and Industry and non-governmental organizations. Applications for participation were submitted by 600 companies from 27 countries of the world which present all product range of this important sector of economy. Among Russian participants there are all large players of the Russian flower market: Green Line, Business Bouquet, 7Flowers, Amadei, Azalea, MK-Flora, Taliflor and others. Widely represented at the exhibition are production companies, among them: “Moszelehoz”, “Tsvety Udmurtii”, “Galantus”, “Belaya Dacha Tsvety”,; agro- holding ”Moscovskiy”, greenhouse complexes “Yujni”, “Rose Garden”, “Mokshanskiy”, “Severnaya Mechta”, “Teplitsy Ramenskie”; nurseries “Flora-Skaz”, “Europark”, “Savvateevyh”, “Opytno-selectsionnyi”; seed companies “Russian Ogorod”, “Sedek”, “”Gavrish”, “Poisk”, “Sevita”, “Agbina”. Large displays rich in content are presented by international participants including: world leaders of flower business, the largest European nurseries, rose breeding companies of France, Germany and England. National stands are arranged by Holland, Ecuador, Colombia, France, Italy and Poland. For the fist time this year there will be presented a new project on engineering for greenhouses, gardening, and landscape design “Flowers-IPM-Tech-Moscow”, organized jointly with our German partner “Messe Essen”, operator of IPM, International Exhibition on gardening. An intensive business program is prepared for the exhibition: 4 September – International scientific and practical conference on resource saving in greenhouse sector. 3-4 September – the 6th Championship on Professional Flower Arrangement. 4 September – Day of France. Presentation of a new rose variety “Anton Chekhov” selected by “Meiland” company. Mrs. Florance Andre – landscape architecture specialist will share experience in restoration of architectural landscape ensembles of France. It is planned to hold National Days of Colombia, Ecuador and Italy. 5 September – Flower Council of Holland conducts a roundtable discussion “State and Prospects of the Flower Market Development in Conditions of the World Crisis”. Master-classes and shows of the best florists of participating countries will be organized daily in the Large Conference Hall. Many participants have applied for participation in Competitions in 5 nominations: The Best Quality of Produce The Best Floristic Work The Best Design of the Exhibition Display The Best Innovative Project Novelties Competition. Gold, Silver and Bronze medals have already been coined for the Competition winners; prizes and Grand Prix have been manufactured.
